Equipment Mechanic

U.S. Aqua Services is hiring an Equipment Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the excavators and heavy equipment that power our dredging projects, both in the yard and at job sites across the field. Travel is required.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on excavators and related heavy equipment
• Perform maintenance and repairs on Marsh excavator pontoons and undercarriage components
• Travel to work sites to perform maintenance and repairs on equipment in the field
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and servicing to keep equipment operating safely and reliably
• Complete major and minor repairs, including component replacement and system rebuilds
• Inspect equipment for wear, damage, and safety concerns and report findings to management
• Maintain accurate service records, parts usage, and repair documentation
• Work with operators and supervisors to minimize equipment downtime
• Work in adherence to safe practices, procedures, and work site rules

• Required:
  
  Excavator experience with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues
• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems on heavy equipment
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools
• Ability to work in remote field conditions, including marsh and waterfront job sites
• Ability to communicate and interact both verbally and in writing
• A keen eye for detail and good decision-making skills
• Can work independently with minimum supervision
• Flexible to work odd hours and travel as needed

Experience with Marsh excavator pontoons and undercarriage maintenance and repair.
