Marsh Excavator Operator

U.S. Aqua Services is hiring a Marsh Excavator Operator to operate Marsh excavators on dredging, levee, and pipeline projects, building levees, maintaining grade, and digging and back filling pipeline ditch in wetland and marsh environments. Travel is required.

• Operate Marsh excavators safely and efficiently on dredging, levee, and pipeline projects
• Build and shape levees to project specifications
• Maintain grade and elevation according to plans and survey stakes
• Dig and backfill pipeline ditch to required depth, width, and alignment
• Perform daily pre-operation inspections and periodic safety, maintenance, and servicing checks
• Perform minor repair works during functioning problems
• Inform and advise management or mechanics for major repairs or maintenance
• Respond to signals and directions from the crew and work in coordination with them
• Work in adherence to safe practices, procedures, and work site rules

• Required:
  
  Marsh excavator experience
• Proven ability to build levees, maintain grade, and dig and backfill pipeline ditch
• Ability to read grade stakes, plans, and work from survey references
• Possess skills to operate heavy and power-driven equipment
• Ability to work in teams
• Ability to communicate and interact both verbally and in writing
• A keen eye for detail and good decision-making skills
• Ability to handle emergency situations and work pressure
• Can work independently with minimum supervision
• Flexible to work odd hours
