Billing Supervisor

What You’ll Do

🔹 Lead Billing Operations

• Oversee daily billing functions to ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper revenue recognition
• Review and approve billing adjustments, credit notes, and write-offs
• Monitor billing activity to ensure alignment with contractual pricing and customer agreements
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation initiatives

🔹 Supervise & Develop the Team

• Manage workload distribution, performance oversight, and team development
• Provide guidance on complex billing scenarios, including multi-location and EDI structures
• Serve as an escalation point for billing disputes with financial impact
• Partner with Accounting on month-end and year-end close processes
• Analyze AR trends, billing variances, and revenue reporting
• Assist with audit requests related to billing and revenue controls
• Maintain billing controls and segregation of duties
• Oversee EDI billing processes and error resolution
• Ensure accurate documentation to support revenue recognition
• Act as the primary accounting liaison to Operations and Sales
• Support SOP development and system enhancements
• Partner with leadership to improve reporting transparency and data flow

• ✔ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
• ✔ 5+ years of accounting, AR, or revenue experience
• ✔ Prior supervisory experience required
• ✔ Strong understanding of general ledger processes and revenue recognition
• ✔ Experience with billing systems and EDI platforms preferred
• ✔ Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities
• ✔ Exceptional communication and leadership skills
