First Priority Group is a diversified manufacturer, dealer, upfitter and service provider of emergency and specialty vehicles seeking an Accountant to support our customers across all three of our manufacturing facilities.
Duties & Responsibilities:- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial entries in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct fixed asset processing and reporting
- Maintain cash log and reconciliations of bank statements
- Assist with state sales tax reports and returns
- Support external auditors' requests for information and documentation
- Oversee the general ledger postings, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all accounting records.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic planning.
- Develop and refine internal controls and accounting workflows to support growth.
- Drive accuracy in manufacturing accounting, including standard costing, BOMs, variances, and inventory valuation.
- Partner with manufacturing and supply chain teams to improve visibility into production and cost drivers.
- Ensure ERP system accuracy and support process improvements and integrations (Net Suite preferred).
- Balance independent ownership of core tasks with cross-functional collaboration across Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive, relevant accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (advanced level Excel)
- Strong technical accounting skills especially in account reconciliations and month-end close responsibilities
- Excellent planning and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present clear, determined findings and recommendations
