Position Summary

Delva Tool & Machine is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands manufacturing operations, and enjoys partnering with leadership to provide accurate financial information that drives business decisions.

What You'll Do

Support month-end and year-end close activities
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
Maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity
Manage balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management functions
Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
Support multi-entity accounting and intercompany reconciliations
Assist with audit preparation and external reporting requirements
Maintain and strengthen internal controls across the accounting function
Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement more efficient accounting workflows
Partner with operations and leadership to ensure financial data accurately reflects manufacturing activity

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
6+ years of progressive accounting experience
Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, defense, or job-costing environment
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close
Experience working within a large ERP system
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

Highly Preferred

Net Suite ERP experience
Experience supporting multi-entity organizations
Manufacturing cost accounting experience
Inventory accounting experience
Experience supporting external audits
CPA, CMA, or other professional accounting certification

Not a Fit If...

Your accounting experience is primarily limited to Quick Books-based bookkeeping environments
You have not worked within a manufacturing, production, distribution, or job-costing environment
You prefer highly repetitive transactional accounting work with limited ownership
