Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant or experienced accounting clerk to join a manufacturing organization in Plainsboro, New Jersey. This role directly supports day-to-day accounting activity and helps maintain accurate financial records across payables, receivables, and general ledger tasks. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in Quick Books, preparing journal entries, and contributing to a timely month-end close while providing responsive support to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

- Manage daily accounting transactions related to vendor payments and customer invoicing using Quick Books.

- Record and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial data and support general ledger integrity.

- Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and review of financial information.

- Monitor accounts receivable balances, follow up on outstanding payments, and help resolve billing questions.

- Process accounts payable accurately and on schedule while verifying documentation and coding details.

- Support broader finance operations by organizing records, preparing reports, and assisting with routine accounting analysis.

- Respond professionally to inquiries from customers, vendors, and internal teams regarding accounting matters.
