Payroll Specialist

Industry leading company headquartered in South Jersey is looking to build out their payroll team. Company is widely recognized for their products and customer relationships including Wawa.

• Responsible for ensuring no missed punches prior to processing payroll and following up with the supervisors as needed
• Verify attendance, hours worked, pay adjustments, and post information
• Review WFM hours for accuracy in order to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies
• Responsible for processing the hourly payroll timely on a weekly basis
• Record employee information, such as exceptions, direct deport, pay adjustments, transfers, and resignations, in order to maintain and update payroll records.
• Compute wages and deductions based on applicable state and federal wage order guidelines
• Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases
• Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance
• Keep informed about changes in payroll tax and deduction laws that apply to payroll process
• Partner with Human Resources on any payroll related changes
• Provide information to employees, management on payroll issues
