Our client, a privately held professional services organization that operates in a highly technology-driven environment, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team in Montvale, NJ (25 employees' company-wide). Their current Senior Accountant will be retiring later this year, creating an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make a long-term impact. In this role, you will serve as the company's lead accounting professional, partnering closely with the CEO to ensure overall financial accuracy while overseeing the day-to-day accounting function.

Although this is an individual contributor role, you will provide guidance and support to two team members responsible for the day-to-day A/P and A/R functions, allowing you to spend the majority of your time on higher-level accounting responsibilities including general ledger activities, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting. Success in this role requires a strong accounting foundation, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to work within sophisticated accounting systems.

• Prepare and enter journal entries
• Manage bank, general ledger, and account reconciliations
• Oversee accounts payable activities, including vendor payments and expense processing
• Process customer billing and support accounts receivable activities as needed
• Reconcile cash receipts, deposits, credit memos, and credit card transactions
• Prepare and support month-end and year-end close processes Senior Accountant (full-cycle accounting exp. req.) Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3 years of full-cycle accounting experience required
  • Experience with general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close required
  • Experience working within an ERP or CRM required
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, required
