PositionSummary
The Accounts Receivable Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the accounts receivable function ensuring timely and accurate customer billing and invoicing, collections, proactive monitoring of receivables aging, and serves as strong business partner to the customer service team. This role will also assist in proactive cash forecasting and help drive working capital improvement initiatives through financial analysis, KPI development, and operational support.
Key Responsibilities- Owns Accounts Receivable function and manages transactional activities as well as proactively manages and anticipates cash needs
- Supervise and mentor the accounts receivable specialist including assigning work, training, and performance management
- Ensures proper internal controls are in place and maintains compliance in accordance with Finance and company policy including proper documentation of customer billings and invoices
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and ensure timely cash collections to optimize customer relationships and cash flow
- Oversees and performs processing of customer invoicing, handling of billing discrepancies, financial reconciliations, and data entry in an accurate and timely manner
- Proactively identifies and addresses risk with business partners, escalating to management when necessary
- Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
- Assists with company cash forecasting and analytics
- Monitors and drives working capital improvement initiatives ensuring the company maintains a healthy and audit-ready balance sheet with optimized cash conversion
- Provides direct operational support for inventory optimization and capital expenditures
- Identifies opportunities to streamline processes and implement improvements
- Perform Ad Hoc analysis and provide accounting support as needed
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent plus experience
- 5 years’ experience in accounts receivable or accounting – FP&A experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, internal controls, and cash management principles
- Experience in ERP systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and leadership abilities
