Client Overview:
Our client is a privately held global organization that is a leader in their industry. They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join their team based in New Jersey. Salary/Hourly Rate:$110k - $120k
Position Overview:As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing various accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. Your experience in financial analysis, reporting, and compliance will contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:- Perform general accounting functions, including financial statement preparation, analysis, and reconciliation.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying trends and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Assist with the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare and review various financial reports, including budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Manage and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth.
- Stay updated with the latest accounting regulations and industry trends, implementing best practices where applicable.
- Support external audits and liaise with auditors as needed.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Proficient in using accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of internal controls and compliance requirements.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- CPA is preferred.
- Experience with IFRS is preferred.
- Previous experience with ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
- Salary up to $120k per year plus a bonus, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
