Description
Our client is seeking an Accounts Receivable Associate to join their accounting team. This position will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounts receivable activities, ensuring accurate and timely customer invoicing, cash application, account reconciliation, and collection follow-up. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced accounting environment.
Key Responsibilities
+ Process and issue customer invoices accurately and timely.
+ Apply customer payments and maintain accurate accounts receivable records.
+ Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies.
+ Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on past-due balances.
+ Assist with collection activities and customer account inquiries.
+ Research and resolve billing and payment discrepancies.
+ Prepare accounts receivable reports and aging schedules.
+ Assist with month-end close activities and AR reconciliations.
+ Maintain accurate customer account information.
+ Work closely with the Accounting, Sales, and Customer Service teams to resolve issues.
+ Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
+ 2+ years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience preferred.
+ Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
+
Experience with invoicing, cash applications, reconciliations, and collections.
+ Strong Excel skills, including sorting, filtering, and basic formulas.
+ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
+
Experience with an ERP or accounting system preferred.
