Staff I Accountant - Consolidations, Reporting And Corporate Accounting

Summary

Entry-level Staff Accountant position based in Whippany, NJ supporting consolidations, reporting and corporate accounting on a hybrid schedule. The role owns a portfolio of recurring monthly close deliverables across cash, debt, intercompany, royalties and balance sheet and P&L analytics. The position contributes to process improvement and automation efforts while developing technical accounting skills within a global corporate accounting environment.

• Own recurring monthly close deliverables including cash journal entries, debt amortization, intercompany loan entries and royalty/intragroup fee accruals and payments
• Prepare account reconciliations and perform balance sheet and P&L variance analyses for assigned corporate holding entities
• Review intercompany reconciliations and execute clean-up and netting entries; confirm books closed status and elevate issues
• Support consolidation tasks, review market-submitted explanations and validate global debt and investment balances
• Support close administration including reporting calendars, system access reviews and statutory request coordination
• Participate in process improvement and build automated templates and workflows to improve close efficiency and control

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and prior internship experience in accounting or finance
• Foundational knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS and strong analytical, communication and Excel skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment and quickly learn financial systems
• Interest in process automation and technology-driven solutions; experience with ERP or close management tools is a plus
• Active pursuit of CPA licensure preferred; exposure to JD Edwards or Black Line preferred
