Position Overview

Population 13,500. Seeking a full-time Tax Clerk to serve as assistant to the Tax Assessor and Tax Collector supporting the daily operations of the Assessor’s & Collector” Office involving approximately 5,342 residential, commercial, and farmland properties.

• Assist with customer service, assessment administration, tax appeals, records management, data analysis, and overall office operations.
• Support the Tax Collector’s Office with posting of receipts and deposits as necessary, assisting with annual tax sale, and other additional duties to provide general office support.
• Assist with various financial tasks as determined necessary.

• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Computer skills, with knowledge of Edmunds/MSI highly desirable.
• Candidates with, or in process of obtaining, a CTA, CTC, or experience in real estate preferred.

Salary range is $40,000-$60,000 annually (DOQE). Position includes a competitive medical benefit package and pension after 60 days.
