Perform a variety of front desk activities (answering phones, greeting patients) that support the Center and professional staff, and perform essential services such as checking‑in, checking‑out, and other tasks as directed by the Practice Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with all Front Desk operations and use the Practice Management system to ensure efficient patient registration and checkout processes.
  • Greet patients and enter demographic information into the Practice Management system.
  • Collect and input valid licenses and insurance information.
  • Collect and post co‑payments and payments made at time of service.
  • Maintain and organize patient documents/files.
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and take messages.
  • Reconcile co‑pays and payments collected daily.
  • File, label, and send outbound and inbound faxes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and use discretion when handling patients’ medical records and information.
  • May perform charge entry process.
  • Complete referrals for a specialist.
  • Submit prior authorization requests from patients and/or providers.
  • File any/all paper.
  • Room patients when checked in and the provider is ready to treat the patient.
  • Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Computer literacy required.
  • 1–2 years of previous customer service / data entry, administrative / office management / clerical experience required.
  • Experience in the health or public sector organization helpful but not required.
  • Knowledge in business office procedures, grammar, spelling, punctuation, basic arithmetic.
  • Medical insurance and medical billing skills.
  • Ability to operate all office equipment.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to answer the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner and use a multi‑line telephone system.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.
  • Speak clearly and concisely; read and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to sort and file materials correctly by alphabetic or numeric systems.
  • Willingness to help patients with check‑in or check‑out processes.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, calculator, telephone, copier, and other office equipment.
  • Normal hearing for telephone contact.
  • Ability to view computer screens for long periods and work in a potentially stressful environment.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $16.00 – $23.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
