Location: McGuire AFB
Duties
1. Serves as recognized source of information on applications. Counsel's active duty, reservist, retirees and their dependents on eligibility requirements, individual options and processing procedures.
2. Updates inquires and processes actions through Personnel Data Systems.
3. Performs other action pertaining to Customer Service Programs to include SGLI/FSGLI updates, personnel in-processing, citizenship updates, and joint spouse updates among other programs.
4.Performs clerical support to ensure efficient office operations.
5. Uses a variety of office hardware, software, and peripherals in the performance of military personnel functions and performs other clerical support work. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, GS-0203 series. SPECIALIZED
EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-04, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge and skill in applying a standardized body of military personnel rules, regulations, procedures, and precedents relating to the military awards and decorations program, the military identification card program and resolve complex procedural and substantive problems.

EDUCATION:
Successfully completed four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
(KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of military personnel regulations and procedures relating to Customer Service Programs.
2. Knowledge of military organizational structure, protocol, and similar matters.
3. Knowledge of general office administrative and clerical procedures.
4. Knowledge of the military personnel automated system and office automation hardware, software, and peripherals. A qualified typist is not required.
5. Knowledge of format, content, and uses of the military personnel record and the procedures and requirements regarding its maintenance.
6. Ability to communicate effectively, orally, and in writing, and maintain effective work relationships. PART-TIME OR UNPAID
EXPERIENCE:
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
