Automotive Detailer - Car Washer - Mercer County Metro Area

Full‑time Automotive Detailer position in the Mercer County Metro Area. The starting compensation is $17 per hour based on a 40‑hour workweek. Employees may earn yearly merit increases based on performance.

• Wash, clean, sanitize, inspect and prepare a variety of vehicles (cars, trucks, vans) to meet high cleanliness and safety standards for customer rentals.
• Clean, sanitize, vacuum and prepare vehicle interior according to industry‑standard protocols.
• Wash, clean and dry the vehicle’s exterior, including cars, vans and trucks.
• Check fuel level and warning lights; inspect windshield for damage; restore vehicle settings to clear prior customer data; check for customer items and place valuable items in Lost & Found; verify registration is present, current and matches the license plate.
• Check fluid levels and add as needed; check tire condition, pressure and tread depth; inspect vehicle exterior for damage.
• Fuel and stage vehicle.
• Inspect vehicle for safety concerns; report warning lights and/or vehicle/windshield/tire damage; pull vehicle out of the prep processing as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report unsafe or hazardous conditions.
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors.
• Assist customers when needed; may transport customers to and from branches.
• Help maintain overall site appearance, including general cleaning of interior and exterior of branch locations and routine lot maintenance.

• Seek to improve job performance through self‑assessment, skill development, training and goal setting.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.

• At least 18 years old.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license (not provisional or probationary).
• Authorized to work in the United States; not requiring work‑authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
• Minimum six (6) consecutive months of prior work or organizational experience.
• Must reside in Mercer County, NJ.
