Procurement Assistant

Our client, a leading organization in supply chain and logistics, is seeking a Procurement Assistant to join their team. As a Procurement Assistant, you will be part of the Procurement Logistics department supporting the operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Procurement Assistant

Location: Remote - must be able to work Eastern time hours

Pay Range: $20 to $25 W-2 depending upon experience
Duration: 12 month contract

• Assist with onboarding new vendors into the systems, ensuring processes are documented and completed within specified time frames.
• Maintain and update logistics systems daily, managing over a thousand lanes to reflect ongoing changes accurately.
• Create and update job aids for system activities and provide training to users to ensure process consistency.
• Support system updates related to Customer Pick-Up (CPU) and prepare reports to track progress and accuracy.
• Participate in annual bid processes, including preparing contract shells, uploading rates, and following up with carriers for approvals.

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business.
• At least 2 years of prior logistics or supply chain experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Power BI.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with strong analytical abilities.
