Location: Pittstown
The Home Depot Account Analyst is responsible for supporting and optimizing the performance of Garden State Growers’ Home Depot business through data-driven account management, order execution, and inventory alignment. This role serves as a key analytical and operational partner to the Home Depot account, ensuring that product assortments, order flow, and inventory strategies are tightly aligned with demand, seasonality, and operational feasibility.
This position works cross-functionally with Sales, Inventory Planning, Production, and Operations teams to ensure product viability, accurate forecasting, and cohesive execution across live goods programs, with a strong emphasis on perennial categories and retail readiness.
Key Responsibilities Account & Order Management- Own order writing and order maintenance for assigned Home Depot programs, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with demand forecasts
- Serve as a day-to-day analytical contact for the Home Depot account, supporting account execution and performance tracking
- Ensure orders, allocations, and replenishment strategies reflect seasonal demand, sell-through trends, and production realities
- Analyze historical sales, forecasts, and current trends to support demand planning and product viability decisions
- Partner closely with internal Inventory, Production, and Supply Chain teams to ensure inventory plans align with account demand and live-goods constraints
- Identify potential supply risks, overproduction, or gaps early and proactively recommend adjustments
- Support assortment planning and optimization, with a focus on perennial and live goods categories
- Evaluate product performance, regional trends, and seasonal timing to inform future program recommendations
- Collaborate with Sales and Merchandising to ensure assortments are operationally feasible and commercially sound
- Track and analyze KPIs including sales performance, sell-through, inventory turns, fill rates, and shrink
- Prepare internal reporting and insights to support account reviews and decision-making
- Surface actionable insights that improve execution, reduce waste, and strengthen account performance
- Act as a liaison between Sales, Inventory Planning, Production, and Operations to ensure cohesive account execution
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to forecasting accuracy, order flow, and inventory efficiency
- Ensure alignment with internal processes, policies, and operational standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5+ years of experience in demand planning, inventory analysis, and/or retail operations
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, forecasts, and inventory metrics
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (forecasting, lookups, pivots, data analysis)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced, seasonal environment.
- Experience in the live goods, horticulture, or plant industry
- Working knowledge of perennial products and seasonal retail programs
- Prior experience supporting or working with The Home Depot or other large home-improvement or big-box retailers
- Experience collaborating with production or inventory planning teams
- Office based in Pittstown, NJ (hybrid flexibility)
- Occasional travel for internal meetings, account reviews, or store/field visits
