As a Director of Product Management within the Home Appliance Solution division, you will lead the strategic vision, portfolio management, and lifecycle execution for LG’s Dishwashing and Cooking product categories. You will be responsible for shaping product strategy, guiding cross-functional teams, and ensuring that our offerings deliver superior value to customers and sustainable growth for the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and optimize the dishwasher and cooking product portfolio by evaluating market opportunities, competitive dynamics, and evolving consumer needs.
  • Lead quarterly product roadmap committees to influence the long-term direction of the dishwashing and cooking categories in alignment with corporate strategy.
  • Balance short-term execution with long-term innovation, ensuring portfolio health across lifecycle stages—from ideation to end-of-life.
  • Partner closely with Product Development, Marketing, Planning, and Sales teams to translate market insights into compelling product concepts and validated business cases.
  • Oversee product launch planning, including go-to-market strategies, product demos, press events, and trade show activations.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products that meet technical, regulatory, and customer expectations.
  • Utilize consumer research, competitive benchmarking, and performance analytics to identify strengths, gaps, and improvement areas.
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations for U.S. and global leadership teams, ensuring alignment with regional and corporate priorities.
  • Monitor emerging technologies, sustainability trends, and customer preferences to anticipate future market shifts.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing product management team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (Product Development, Marketing, Sales, Operations) and external partners (suppliers, distributors, retailers).
  • Communicate product strategy and performance transparently to executives and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years minimum of product management experience, including at least 5 years of success within a visible leadership role.
  • Proven track record in leading product strategy, portfolio optimization, and successful product launches in consumer electronics or home appliances.
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in competitive analysis, pricing strategy, and market research.
  • Deep understanding of product lifecycle management, from concept development through launch and end-of-life.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with product management tools and data analytics platforms.
  • Experience working in global, matrixed organizations with exposure to U.S. and international markets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, design, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
