Demand Forecasting and Analytics Capability Lead Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role include:
- Drive innovation and excellence in forecasting methodologies, creating and deploying toolkits that support data‑based points of view and enabling scenario‑based thinking that includes blue‑sky possibilities.
- Provide methodology and frameworks for Global Commercialization to identify and analyze drivers of demand variability, facilitating the incorporation of insights into forecasting models and developing scenario‑based forecasting approaches to address uncertainties and risks.
- Partner with GSI, Finance, Marketing Market Access, Supply Chain thought leaders to define the global demand forecasting strategy, aligning with Bayer’s business goals, market priorities and talent strategy.
- Act as the primary liaison between the Global Strategic Insights cluster and other clusters for demand forecasting initiatives, including local country teams, to align global forecasting processes with local market needs and support skill and capability building initiatives.
- Advocate for data‑driven insights and data science methods across the organization; collaborate with the Business Performance management capability lead to bring demand analytics full circle with business performance assessment and diagnostics.
We seek an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications- Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical data sources and valid applications, biases and limitations; business analytic methods and tools that can form a basis for best‑in‑class demand potential scenarios and forecasts.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with a deep understanding of pharmaceutical value creation, gross‑to‑net revenues, pricing, contracting, and payer reimbursement models.
- Proven ability to identify impactful levers, drivers and barriers of performance and resource allocation across channels to maximize performance and profitability.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to address conflicts and guide teams toward solutions that align with overall product strategy.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, thriving in fast‑paced, dynamic environments while working effectively in cross‑functional teams.
- • Bachelor’s Degree with 15+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a deep and broad expertise in developing forecast methods and models; hands‑on forecasting throughout a range of pharmaceutical contexts (chronic and acute diseases, rare and high incidence conditions, pre‑clinical though LOE, etc.).
Compensation: Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $220,240 and $330,360. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.
