Policy Analyst
APPRISE ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).) has a position available for a Policy Analyst to conduct research on energy efficiency and energy assistance programs and policies. The energy programs, run by the federal government, state government agencies, and utility companies, provide assistance to customers to improve the efficiency of their homes or businesses, or to improve the affordability of their energy bills. APPRISE research provides analysis of the efficiency and effectiveness of these programs, and recommendations for improving program metrics.
This position requires full time in-office work at our Princeton, NJ office.
ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibility of a Policy Analyst is to support senior staff on policy analysis and research projects. With supervision by senior staff, a Policy Analyst may assist with the following tasks:
- Literature Reviews
- Survey Design and Management
- In-Depth Interviews with Program Managers, Implementers, and Stakeholders
- Data Analysis using Statistical Software
- Presentations and Reports
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in economics or another social science
- Excellent writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with analysis of large datasets using statistical software packages
- Experience with policy research
- An interest in social programs
- Oral and written proficiency in English
