Position

Summary

Dialight is seeking a Product Specialist to support the analysis, execution, and lifecycle management of its global industrial LED lighting portfolio. Working closely with the product management, market and sales teams, this role will turn product and market information into accurate analysis, coordinated launch and lifecycle activities, effective sales tools, and reliable customer-facing content. The ideal candidate is analytical, technically curious, highly organized, and eager to build broad product management experience in a global industrial business.

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate product, market, and competitive information, including product comparisons, feature data, and competitive product databases.
  • Prepare reports and presentations that help the product team monitor key performance indicators and make data-driven decisions.
  • Support business cases, demand forecasts, market sizing, and financial analysis, and help maintain consistent product information across internal systems and customer-facing collateral.
  • Analyze product sales, mix, SKU activity, quote trends, and customer feedback to identify key trends and opportunities for action.
Product Lifecycle & Launch Execution
  • Support the development and documentation of product requirements, specifications, target costs, and launch-readiness criteria.
  • Support product lifecycle management activities such as SKU rationalization, product-line simplification, product substitutions, change notifications, and end-of-life communication.
  • Track applicable certifications and regulatory requirements, including UL, CE, DLC, IEC, and hazardous-location standards. Support compliance team in product certification updates.
  • Support product management deliverables, action items, and timelines for new product launches, product changes, cost-reduction initiatives, and discontinuations.
Product Content & Commercial Enablement
  • Develop, update, and coordinate product content, including datasheets, brochures, website information, labels, installation manuals, sales presentations, and training materials.
  • Partner with engineering, quality, regulatory, and marketing teams to validate technical accuracy, consistency, and commercial readiness of product information.
  • Create sales enablement tools such as product comparisons, selection guides, frequently asked questions, application summaries, and competitive battle cards.
  • Respond to routine product inquiries and assist with training, customer presentations, samples, trade shows, and escalation of complex technical or commercial issues.
Voice of the Customer & Cross-Functional Support
  • Monitor competitor activity, industry trends, customer requirements, and regulatory developments, and summarize relevant implications for the product team.
  • Document customer and market insights in a consistent format so they can be evaluated and translated into product requirements and portfolio priorities.
  • Coordinate assigned product work streams and communicate status, risks, decisions, and next steps while helping improve product information, reporting, and team workflows.
  • Work with engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, regulatory, sales, and marketing teams to track open items, resolve information gaps, and keep activities moving to completion.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, Product Development, or a related field is required.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in product management, product marketing, engineering, technical sales or support, data analysis, or industrial manufacturing; strong internship or co-op experience may be considered.
