Construction Project Manager

Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 per year
Location:
Delaware Valley (Office and Field Environment)
- Provide management oversight for all phases of residential and commercial construction projects.
- Coordinate employees, subcontractors, material and equipment to ensure specifications are followed.
- Ensure work proceeds with quality, on schedule, and within budget.
- Develop a cost‑effective plan and schedule for project completion.
- Minimize exposure and risk by implementing and auditing safety standards and quality assurance controls.
- Coordinate subcontractors on various phases of multiple projects.
- Oversee performance of all trade contractors and review architectural and engineering drawings for compliance.
- Administer construction contracts and obtain all necessary permits and licenses.
- Supervise assistant managers and superintendents, review reports, and correct safety violations or deficiencies.
- Track and control construction schedule and associated costs to achieve completion within time and money allotted.
- Report to owner, architects, and portfolio managers about progress and necessary modifications.
- Plan, implement, track, and close out construction projects, conducting project meetings.
- Manage day‑to‑day operational and tactical aspects of multiple construction projects.
- Manage client interactions and expectations, directly or in a supervisory role.
- Accurately forecast revenue, profitability, and project costs.
- Achieve revenue goals set for projects.
- Generate and issue regular internal and external project reporting via company software (Viewpoint).
- Proactively identify changes in project scope and ensure appropriate measures are taken.
- Administer submittal review process between subcontractors/suppliers and the design team.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiating skills.
- Strong computer skills, with emphasis on Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Viewpoint.
- Dispute resolution skills.
- Financial and job cost accounting knowledge.
- Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people.
- Work in office and field environment.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
- Must be able to sustain a seated posture for prolonged periods.
- Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers required to operate computer keyboard, mouse, and other business machines.
- Team includes superintendent, assistant superintendent, project engineer, project assistant, and estimator (if required).
- Must be able to perform at all project management levels.
- Responsible for professional development of directly supervised employees.
- Support continuing education to expand knowledge base.
5+ years of experience managing construction projects.
