Construction Superintendent
The Construction Superintendent will oversee the day-to-day field operations of commercial and institutional construction projects throughout the NYC Metro Area. The Superintendent will coordinate subcontractors and vendors, maintain schedules, enforce safety and quality standards, and ensure projects are completed according to plans and specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily onsite construction activities
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
- Maintain project schedules and sequencing
- Review plans, drawings, and specifications
- Monitor quality, safety, and jobsite progress
- Coordinate inspections and material deliveries
- Identify and resolve field issues and conflicts
- Communicate project updates with the Project Manager
- Lead subcontractor coordination meetings
- Assist with punch list, closeout, and project turnover
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of commercial construction Superintendent experience
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and scheduling
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Experience managing multiple trades and subcontractors
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- OSHA/safety certifications preferred
- Experience with Public Projects in New Jersey of over 15 M
