Position

Purpose:

The Concrete Superintendentisresponsiblefortheoverallfieldexecutionofassignedprojectsfor Assuncao Brothers ,Inc.(ABI).Thispositionprovidesday-to-dayleadershipanddirectionto

Foremenandfieldcrewstoensureworkisperformedsafely,efficiently,productively,andinaccordancewithprojectplans,specifications,schedules,quality standards,andcontractualrequirements.

The Superintendentservesasthekeyfieldleaderandliaisonbetweenprojectmanagement,foremen,field employees,subcontractors,andotherprojectstakeholders.

Thepositionisresponsibleforcoordinatingmanpower,equipment,materials,sequencing,andfieldoperationswhilemaintainingastrongfocusonsafety,quality,productivity,scheduleperformance,andworkforcedevelopment.

The Superintendentisexpectedtoleadbyexample,developstrongforemenandcrews,anticipatefieldneedsandchallenges,andcreateanenvironmentofaccountability,teamwork,andcontinuousimprovement.

Responsibilities:

• Provideoverallleadershipanddirectionforfieldoperationsonassignedprojects.
• Directandsupportforemenintheplanningandexecutionofdailyandweeklyworkactivities.
• Ensureconcreteworkisperformedinaccordancewithprojectplans,specifications,contract requirements,applicable codes,andABIstandards.
• Coordinatethesequencingandexecutionofconcreteoperations,includingformwork,reinforcing,placement,finishing,curing,walls,structures,foundations,curb,sidewalk,andotherapplicableconcretework.
• Maintainastrongfieldpresenceandproactivelyidentifyandresolveissuesthatcouldaffectsafety,productivity,quality,or schedule.
• Establishclearexpectationsfor Foremenandfieldcrewsandholdteammembersaccountableforperformance.
• Coordinatewithprojectmanagersandotherprojectleadershipregardingfieldconditions,project priorities,upcoming work,andrequiredsupport.

• Planandcoordinatefieldmanpowerrequirementsbasedonprojectschedules,production goals,crew capabilities,andupcomingwork.
• Workwithcompanyleadershiptoappropriatelyallocateandadjustunionmanpowerasprojectneedschange.
• Evaluatecrewcompositionandindividualcapabilitiestoensureemployeesareappropriatelyassignedandutilized.
• Anticipatefuturemanpowerneedsandcommunicatehiringhall,staffing,skill,orclassificationrequirementsinadvance.
• Maintainworkingknowledgeofapplicablecollectivebargainingagreements,union classifications,jurisdictional requirements,andworkrulesastheyrelatetofieldoperations.
• Partner with Operations,Payroll,andHuman
  
  Resourcesonunionworkforcematterswhenadditionalinterpretation,administration,oremployeerelationssupportisrequired.

• Makesafetyplanninganintegralpartoffieldoperationsandreinforceacultureinwhichemployeestakeresponsibilityfortheirownsafetyandthesafetyofthosearoundthem.

• Participateinpre-planningactivitiestoidentifyproject-specifichazardsandappropriatecontrolsbeforeworkbegins.

• Ensureappropriatetoolboxtalks,jobhazardanalyses/pre-task planning,inspections,andrequiredsafetydocumentationarecompleted.
• Stoporcorrectunsafeworkpracticesandpromptlyaddressunsafeconditions.
• Participateinincident,accident,andnear-missreviewsandassistwithidentifyingrootcausesandimplementingcorrectiveactions.
• Collaboratewithcompanysafety/riskpersonnelandprojectleadershiptocontinuouslyimprovefieldsafetyperformance.
• EnsurecompliancewithapplicableOSHArequirements,owner requirements,andcompanysafetypolicies.

• Understandtheoverallprojectscheduleandtranslateprojectmilestonesintoactionableshort-termfieldplans.
• Developandcommunicatedailyandweeklyworkplanswith Foremenandprojectmanagement.
• Monitorfieldprogressagainstschedule,production goals,estimated quantities,andplannedlaborhours.
