Associate Producer – Squawk on the Street
CNBC is looking for an Associate Producer for Squawk on the Street. In this role, you will be an integral part of covering the most significant financial, corporate & political news stories of the day.
Responsibilities- Work with a team of producers to produce CNBC Business News program
- Assist in the creation and coordination of elements for the daily business program
- Operate in a high‑intensity, fast‑paced control room
- Use equipment to play out all on‑air real‑time financial charts
- Write copy and lower‑thirds for daily segments
- Be resourceful and creative in helping to deliver the program’s message, including use of clips and graphics
- Research segment ideas and segment information as directed
- Put together research packets for anchors
- Assist in booking guests
- Assist producers with story production and pre‑interviews
- Book remote feeds for guests and reporters
- Assist with show social media pages, when needed
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or business, or an equivalent degree
- At least 2 years of television production experience
- Willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news; able to work early‑morning shifts (7 am start) and additional hours beyond scheduled shift
- Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments while working with multiple producers and editors on the broadcast and digital teams
- Knowledge of current events, politics and pop culture
- Exemplary interpersonal skills
- Proactive thinker / self‑starter
- Highly organized and detail‑oriented

Salary range: $65,000 - $80,000 per year. This position is eligible for company‑sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
