Music Director; Part-Time), Bridgewater United Methodist Church in Bridgewater, NJ

Bridgewater United Methodist Church is seeking a skilled and collaborative Music Director to lead our music ministry and serve as principal accompanist (piano and/or organ) for worship.

• Planning worship music in collaboration with the Senior Pastor
• Directing the Adult Choir, Children’s Choir, and Bell Choir
• Providing musical leadership and coordination for the Praise Band
• Providing piano and/or organ accompaniment for Sunday worship and special services
• Leading weekly rehearsals
• Preparing music for seasonal services (Advent, Christmas, Lent, Holy Week, Easter, etc.)
• Recruiting and nurturing volunteer musicians

• Strong choral conducting skills
• Proficiency in piano and organ accompaniment
• Experience working with children, adults, and diverse musical styles
• Ability to lead both traditional and contemporary music settings
• Strong organizational and collaborative skills
• Commitment to the mission and ministry of the church

This is a 20-hour-per-week position. Sunday mornings and weekday/evening rehearsals are required.
