Customer Service Representative

Compensation & Location

Compensation: $15.92 to $17.00 hourly

Location: 6701 Tonnelle Ave, North Bergen, New Jersey 07047, USA

U-Haul is seeking a friendly, motivated Customer Service Representative to act as the face of the company’s exceptional service, assisting customers and managing rental equipment.

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move, hook up, and inspect U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean equipment and check fluid levels.
• Answer questions and educate customers about products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returns.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fuel trucks (fill propane) and operate forklift (certification offered).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

The role involves moderate risks such as working around moving parts or machines, fumes, or irritants. Protective clothing such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields may be required. The job requires physical exertion, including prolonged standing, moving around indoors and outdoors, reaching objects at varying heights, and moving equipment weighing at least 50 lbs. (assisted or unassisted).
