Position

Summary

As a Dental Assistant, you will support the clinical needs of patients and doctors. Your responsibilities include patient care, recordkeeping, appointment scheduling, and close collaboration with dentists and hygienists under dental supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate knowledge of dental instruments and assist the dentist chairside.
  • Maintain inventory control in the operatories.
  • Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and CDC guidelines.
  • Provide world‑class patient interactions for scheduling, post‑surgical information, and record keeping.
  • Perform basic lab procedures such as taking impressions, pouring models, and preparing cases for external labs.
  • Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Fast learner with a desire to master required technologies and systems.
  • Applicable licensing for the state of employment:
    • NJ – Dental Radiologic Technologist (DRT) license or willingness to obtain immediately.
    • MD – Dental Radiologic Technologist (DRT) license or willingness to obtain immediately.
    • PA – Radiation Health and Safety certificate or willingness to obtain immediately.
  • Certified Dental Assistant preferred.
  • 1+ year related experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • X‑ray license required.
  • Active CPR certification required.
Knowledge and Skills / Expected Competencies
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and patient care.
  • Clear communication of medical information to professionals and the public.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, follow‑up, analytical, and time‑management skills to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.

Physical/Mental Demands and Work Environment
