The Dental Assistant provides clinical support in a dental setting, assisting the doctor during examinations and treatments, preparing and maintaining instruments and supplies, and ensuring a clean, compliant environment.
Responsibilities- Seat and drape patients
- Set up treatment units
- Operate suction and digital radiography equipment
- Mix materials
- Sterilize instruments
- Restock supplies
- Maintain clinic cleanliness following OSHA standards
- Perform four‑handed assisting and instrument maintenance
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant Program
- NJ certification
- Valid radiologic license
- CPR certification
- Must possess an X‑ray license and relevant experience
- Strong clinical skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to operate dental equipment
- Adherence to safety and compliance standards
- Effective communication
- Patient seating
