Architect Or Antiquarian Position

At FOJAB, we are growing within cultural environment, renovation, restoration, reuse, and transformation.

We have several new, long-term assignments – and are now looking for an architect or antiquarian who wants to be part of developing our work in Helsingborg.

About the role

With us, you will work in a field that is both current and decisive for the future of sustainable building. Your main task will be to work with cultural environment programs for municipalities in the region, alongside assignments where you contribute with advice, design, and antiquarian investigations.

You move between analysis and design, between strategy and project planning – always with the existing built environment in focus. The work is done independently, but in close collaboration with colleagues within cultural environment, renovation, and architecture.

We believe that you...

… have a clear focus on existing buildings and a strong desire to combine cultural historical values with architectural quality.

… are accustomed to working in all project phases – from sketch to relational document and can weigh cultural environment, economy, buildability, sustainability, and aesthetics into well-functioning solutions.

… have experience in antiquarian work, you are accustomed to producing cultural environment programs, building inventories and/or antiquarian preliminary investigations, and are confident in identifying, describing, and justifying cultural historical values.

… express yourself very well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and are comfortable in a role where analysis and formulation are a central part of the work.

… work independently and structured, but value collaboration and knowledge exchange with others.

Meriting is if you have experience of municipal planning and permit processes, meet (or correspond to) the requirements for expert cultural value according to BFS 2011:15, and have your own customer contacts or network within building conservation and renovation.

Your role with us

With FOJAB, you will have an important role in developing our work with cultural environment and renovation. You contribute to ongoing work, participate in projects at different stages, and help build up relationships and collaborations over time.
