Master Gardener of Monmouth County – Howard Bodner Memorial Scholarship (All FRHSD Students)
The Master Gardeners of Monmouth County are offering merit-based scholarships of $1,500 to graduating high school seniors or current college students.

The Qualifications Are- Must be a resident of Monmouth County;
- Must be accepted to matriculate at a College or University for the Fall 2026 semester;
- Planning to major in Horticulture, Agriculture, Botany, Forestry, Landscape Planning and Design, or related fields;
- Have demonstrated interest in the areas of their intended college major through classwork, employment, community service, and/or extra-curricular activities;
- Previous winners are ineligible.
We are not asking the student to demonstrate financial need or to submit financial information. We are asking that applicants apply online using the link above.
Applicants will be required to submit a high school or college transcript, a letter of recommendation and their personal essay.
Applications must be received by Friday, April 17, 2026, and winners will be notified by Monday, May 4, 2026. Scholarships will be presented at the June meeting of the Rutgers Master Gardeners of Monmouth County in Freehold.
