QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma; college level coursework in education or related field preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and school staff.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with special needs student.
• Ability to satisfactorily complete and pass given background checks.
• Physical Requirements:
  
  Sitting, standing, lifting and carrying, reaching, squatting/kneeling as appropriate to meet the physical demands of the educational setting.

8:15am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.

$20-$22 per hour

• Ensure student remains on task academically.
• Assists in taking care of the physical needs of the special education pupil, including putting on and taking off outer wear, moving from room to room and using the lavatory.
• Assists with individualized instruction and works with small groups of student and/or individual student under the supervision of the classroom teacher to reinforce material initially introduced by the teacher.
• Assist student(s) with transitioning from class to class during the school day.
• Perform other professional duties, as requested by the classroom teacher.

• Establish a relationship with one of the nation's largest referral agencies for behavioral-health-education.
