• Develops lesson plans and prepares for the daily instruction program
• Evaluates student progress and provides progress reports as required
• Strives to maintain professional competence
• Identifies pupil needs in cooperation with other professional staff members and assists in assessing and helping pupils with school‑related problems
• Enforces school rules, administrative regulations and board policy
• Maintains communication with parents, administrators and other professional staff members in order to best serve the interest of students
• Maintains a safe and orderly work area
• Performs other duties within the scope of employment and certification as assigned by the principal and/or his/her designee

• Endorsement #2475 Teacher of Students with Disabilities or Endorsement #2470 Teacher of the Handicap New Jersey State Certification REQUIRED
• MUST pass NJ Criminal History Review Unit fingerprinting requirement
• New Jersey State residency requirements for public employees in effect

• Salary, terms and conditions as per PEA contract
• Salary Range: $67,055- $94,219
