We are seeking a passionate World Languages Teacher to join our dynamic team and inspire our students with the beauty of global languages and cultures.
Position OverviewWe are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated World Languages Teacher to teach one or more languages (e.g., Spanish) to our diverse student body. This position offers flexibility as either a part-time or full-time role. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, cultural knowledge, and a commitment to fostering a love for language learning.
Key Responsibilities- Instruction:
Deliver engaging, student-centered lessons in world languages, tailored to various age groups and proficiency levels (Grades K-12, depending on assignment). - Curriculum Development:
Design and implement innovative lesson plans that integrate language skills with cultural appreciation, aligned with Catholic values and academic standards. - Community Engagement:
Foster a welcoming classroom environment that encourages student participation and celebrates diversity. - Collaboration:
Work closely with colleagues to integrate language learning with other subjects and participate in school events, such as cultural fairs and liturgies. - Assessment:
Evaluate student progress through creative assessments and provide constructive feedback to support growth.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, World Languages, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). - Experience:
Prior teaching experience in world languages is preferred but not required for candidates with strong language proficiency and a passion for education. - Skills:
Fluency in one or more world languages (e.g., Spanish, French, Latin, or others). Ability to create engaging lessons and connect with students of all ages. - Attributes:
Enthusiastic, patient, and committed to fostering a love for language and culture. Alignment with the mission and values of a Catholic school community. - Certification:
Valid teaching certification preferred (or willingness to obtain one).
