The Emerson School District is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Middle School Science Teacher with expertise in life and physical sciences and a passion for delivering instruction through an integrated, student-centered approach.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), with particular emphasis on fostering scientific inquiry and engineering practices in middle school learners. We are looking for an educator who can engage and inspire students to better understand the world around them while encouraging curiosity about future college studies and careers in the sciences.
The ideal candidate will:
- Create engaging, hands-on learning experiences aligned to NGSS
- Integrate life and physical science concepts through real-world applications
- Promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific literacy
- Foster a classroom environment that supports collaboration, creativity, and inquiry
