Full Time 10-month Tenure Track position
The Manville School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered ESL teacher to provide English language support services for Grade 2 multilingual learners through a combination of push-in and pull-out instruction. The ideal candidate will support language development, academic achievement, and inclusive classroom practices while collaborating closely with classroom teachers, interventionists, and families.
Qualifications- Valid New Jersey Teacher of English as a Second Language Certification required
- Elementary certification preferred
- Experience working with multilingual learners in elementary settings
- Knowledge of WIDA standards, sheltered instruction, and culturally responsive teaching practices
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Experience with push-in/pull-out instructional models preferred
- Provide ESL instruction to Grade 2 multilingual learners through both push-in classroom support and pull-out small-group instruction
- Support students English language development in listening, speaking, reading, and writing
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and implement differentiated instruction and scaffolds aligned to grade-level curriculum
- Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation related to language proficiency and academic growth
- Administer and interpret language proficiency assessments as required
- Communicate effectively with families, staff, and administrators regarding student progress and supports
- Participate in Child Study Team meetings, intervention planning, and professional development as appropriate
- Create a welcoming, inclusive, and culturally responsive learning environment
Salary and Benefits in accordance with the Manville Education Association. The annual salary range is commensurate with education level and years of experience, starting at $66,705 (minimum) to $95,850 (maximum).
