Director, College Ministry & Internships
Christ Church is seeking a visionary, relational, and purpose‑driven leader to foster college ministry and internships. This role will shape the next generation of leaders, build meaningful pathways for discipleship, and strengthen the Church’s impact across campuses.
What You’ll Do- Cultivate dynamic college partnerships:
Build relationships with colleges and universities, host campus outreach events, and collaborate cross‑functionally to boost visibility and recruit students and interns into a thriving Christ‑centered community. - Lead a high‑impact Internship Program:
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, mentoring, and evaluation. Design clear systems and partner with other departments to provide interns with real ministry experience. - Champion the Right @ Home Program:
Recruit host families, match students with care, and manage all logistics to create a welcoming, meaningful holiday experience for students far from home. - Ensure smooth and safe transportation:
Manage shuttle routes, schedules, communication, and drivers so students can reliably access Christ Church. Maintain all safety and liability standards. - Lead discipleship and pastoral care environments:
Create spaces where students and interns grow through prayer, teaching, mentorship, and community. Support the Quest College Program and walk alongside young adults as they explore faith and purpose. - Cross‑functional responsibilities:
Strengthen ministry systems by managing workflows, data, budgets, and policies with excellence. Partner across departments to support church‑wide events and ensure alignment, efficiency, and growth.
College students and interns represent an emerging generation with the potential to shape the future of the Church and community. Your leadership will give them a place to belong, opportunities to serve, and guidance needed to grow into confident, Christ‑centered leaders.
What We’re Looking ForA visionary leader who loves Jesus, values students, and thrives in a fast‑paced, relational, and collaborative ministry environment. You bring strong organizational ability, clear communication, and the capacity to inspire others toward meaningful ministry impact.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s in Ministry/Theology, Higher Education, or Nonprofit Leadership is a plus)
- At least 5 years of experience in event planning, program management, ministry leadership, or young adult engagement
- Experience working with young adults and senior leaders
- Experience leading college ministry or multi‑campus student initiatives
- Success in building partnerships with universities or para‑church ministries
- Experience managing internship programs, retreats, or missions
- Cross‑cultural or bilingual ministry experience
- Initiative & Problem‑Solving:
Strong self‑starter who thinks strategically and solves problems with maturity and insight. - Multitasking & Attention to Detail:
Manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy, focus, and excellence. - Organization & Communication:
Exceptional organizational skills with clear interpersonal, written, and proofreading abilities. - Collaboration:
Works well across departments and partners with internal teams and external organizations to move ministry forward. - Service Orientation:
Provides excellent customer service and communicates with clarity, care, and professionalism. - Technical Proficiency:
Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) and online research. - Digital & Social Engagement:
Understands social media, networking platforms, and online tools that effectively engage youth and college students.
