Summary
Cinnaminson Middle School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Spanish Teacher for the school year. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop their language skills and cultural understanding while fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. This full-time position requires a commitment to academic excellence and a collaborative approach to teaching.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement engaging Spanish language curriculum for middle school students.
* Create lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
* Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
* Foster a classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for learning.
* Integrate technology and multimedia resources into lessons to enhance language acquisition.
* Collaborate with colleagues to promote interdisciplinary learning and school initiatives.
* Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in language education.
* Organize and lead extracurricular activities related to the Spanish language and culture.
* Maintain classroom management and discipline in accordance with school policies.
* Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field;
Master's degree preferred.
* Valid teaching certification in the state of New Jersey for French language instruction.
* Strong proficiency in Spanish, both spoken and written.
* Previous teaching experience at the middle school level preferred.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Familiarity with current educational technology and teaching methodologies.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
