Qualifications:

Valid EIPA NJ certification standard required
Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational environments preferred
Deep knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and Deaf culture
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, staff, and families
Strong commitment to inclusivity and student support

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide direct interpreting services to one student throughout the school day
Facilitate communication between the student, teachers, and peers in classroom and school activities
Support student participation and understanding in academic, social, and extracurricular settings
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Collaborate with the educational team to ensure the student's needs are fully met
