Qualifications- Appropriate NJ State Teacher certification preferred OR 60 college credits with substitute credentials
- Must pass criminal background check and fingerprints, pre-employment drug screening and TB test
- A minimum of 60 college credits
- BA/BS preferred
District Assistant Principal
Description / PurposeThe permanent substitute is a part-time position up to 4 days per week. In the absence of the classroom teacher, the substitute is responsible for providing instruction and managing the learning environment. The position reports to the principal or designee at the location to which they are assigned.
Performance Responsibilities- Helps students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible men and women in the absence of the regular teacher
- If lesson plans are left, the substitute follows that plan; if a plan is not left, the substitute develops one that will support student learning with appropriate content
