FLORENCE TOWNSHIP SCHOOL DISTRICT SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER - MDFlorence Township School District is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher for a Multiple Disabilities classroom for the school year. The successful candidate will provide specially designed instruction and support to students with diverse learning, communication, behavioral, and functional needs in a structured and supportive classroom environment.
The teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education programs, providing instruction aligned to student needs, collaborating with related service providers and families, and supporting students in the areas of academics, communication, behavior, social skills, daily living skills, and independence.
Qualifications:- Valid New Jersey Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certificate required
- Experience working with students with multiple disabilities preferred
- Experience with positive behavior supports, functional academics, life skills instruction, and assistive technology preferred
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs, accommodations, modifications, and individualized instructional strategies
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and school administration
- Provide specially designed instruction based on students' IEPs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and objectives
- Use data to guide instruction and monitor student progress
- Support students' academic, behavioral, communication, social-emotional, and functional needs
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, case managers, families, and administration
- Maintain required documentation in accordance with district procedures and state/federal regulations
- Create a safe, structured, positive, and inclusive learning environment
