Overview
The Center for Contemporary Art is a vibrant regional art center with studio art classes, a summer art camp, rotating exhibitions and community partnership programs. Art classes for children and adults are offered in painting (oils, acrylic and watercolor), ceramics, pottery, drawing, pastels, photography and more. Exhibitions of contemporary art are presented in three galleries, as well as annual members’, international juried and youth art month exhibits.
Community partnership programs bring art experiences to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, at-risk youth, seniors, adults with disabilities and people affected by cancer. The Center is located in a fully-accessible facility in Bedminster, Somerset County in Central NJ with convenient access to routes I-78, I-287, and 202/206.

Volunteers must be 16+ and will help distribute and clean up art supplies, keep classrooms organized, assist students with projects, and help supervise lunch and outdoor play.
About the programWeekly summer art camps run from June 22 to September 4 for children ages 5-15. Camp Assistants can volunteer for morning camps from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm, afternoon camps from 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm, or the entire day. Assistants must commit to volunteer for a full week of camp.
