The Continuing Education Specialist will manage the healthcare certification programs offered by the Continuing Education department.
- Serve as the primary liaison for one or more of the continuing education programs.
- Schedule time, date, and location of programs.
- Assist students with registration.
- Order program materials.
- Conduct orientation for all program class starts.
- Work with the Manager of Continuing Education to determine instructor availability, equipment needed and budget for new programs.
- Ensure all program invoices are submitted for processing timely to the Manager of Continuing Education.
- Ensure the completion of participant communication and tracking including attendance, grades and submission of required paperwork to appropriate third‑party partners.
- Coordinate with the Manager of Continuing Education to develop and execute marketing plans for the programs in which they have responsibility.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education RequiredAssociates Degree required. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required degree.
Experience Required- A minimum of two (2) years of work experience in an automated office environment.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite, and data entry.
- Demonstrated experience with contract negation and oversight.
- Experience with public contracting guidelines (especially grants management) and course accreditation standards.
- Excellent written, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required.
- Basic proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong skills in building relationships and a creative and innovative approach to problem solving.
- Must have the ability to follow established protocols, have private transportation and the ability to work a varied schedule as needed.
- Demonstrated ability to multi‑task.
- Must be detail oriented.
Collaborates with department members and/or the Compliance, Assessment and Research team to support planning, assessment, data collection and reporting for continuous improvement of the college.
