Position Overview
To be considered for this role, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree before the first day of work with Success Academy. A background in education is not required.
As a teacher in New York City’s top‑performing network of K‑12 charter schools, you will join a team of professionals committed to teaching and preparing children from low‑income neighborhoods to be self‑assured thinkers and leaders.
Responsibilities- Assess and analyze student data to chart growth and achievement and adapt instruction accordingly.
- Engage in professional development opportunities with school leaders and receive targeted feedback and coaching.
- Participate in the school leadership track, including opportunities to advance to assistant principal roles or transition to the network office.
- Bachelor’s degree issued before the first day of employment.
- Rigorous and relevant academic major (e.g., biology, history, chemistry, economics, physics, English, mathematics, engineering).
- Passion for content in literature, science, history, and/or math, with a willingness to deepen knowledge independently.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, able to juggle multiple responsibilities and prioritize effectively.
- High emotional intelligence, building trusting relationships with diverse populations and welcoming feedback and coaching.
