FUNCTION:
Supervises students in the building and on school grounds.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma required. Demonstrates human relations skills, especially working with students. Flexible work hours, a plus.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervises the students in the building and on school grounds as assigned. Checks lavatories, hallways, parking lots, and other specific locations of the building and grounds on a regular basis. Handles routine student concerns and minor disciplinary situations in accordance with school policy and procedures. Assists school personnel during fire drills, evacuations and other emergency situations as directed by building principal or designee.

Works closely with the school nurse regarding health and safety situations. Investigates and takes appropriate action concerning complaints, suspicious behavior, improper conditions, or any other occurrences that would endanger school personnel, students, and/or school property and equipment. Attends appropriate meetings and professional development. Interacts in a positive manner with the student body and staff. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as assigned by the principal or his/her designee.
