HTSACC Site Leader - After School Kids
The Hanover Township Public Schools is seeking a dynamic, dependable, and enthusiastic Site Leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of an After School Kids program. This role focuses on supporting children's social and emotional well being, supervising and leading staff, and maintaining a structured and engaging environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, additional education in child development, education, or related field preferred.
- A minimum of one year of experience working with school age children.
- A minimum of 15 hours of professional preparation in child and youth development or other areas related to school age child care, preferred.
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills with an ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and establish priorities effectively.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to remain active and engaged throughout the program.
- CPR and First Aid certification required.
- Must meet NJ residency and criminal history requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily management of the program, ensuring a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment aligned with program policies and standards.
- Supervise, support, and evaluate program staff; provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all students in the program.
- Plan, organize, and oversee the implementation of activities, games, and enrichment opportunities.
- Serve as the primary liaison between families, school personnel, and program administration.
- Utilize positive discipline and conflict resolution strategies to support children's individual needs.
- Complete and manage attendance and other required documentation accurately and on time.
- Proactively address challenges and implement effective solutions.
Hourly Wage Range: $26.00 - $32.00
