Substitute Instructor-HVAC

This substitute position offers up to 16 hours per week, including a 4-hour instructional block. Assignments are made according to the College's instructional needs and may occur during daytime or evening hours. Final teaching schedules may change as needed to ensure adequate coverage. Scheduling remains flexible. Training is located at Camden County Technical School – 343 Berlin Cross Keys Road, Sicklerville, NJ.

Position Goals
- Career and Technical Institute Substitute Instructor for HVAC will report directly to the Workforce Training and Continuing Education Program Supervisor and will provide effective, on-call instruction when the regular teacher is unavailable. To ensure uninterrupted training in the HVAC program, the substitute teacher will deliver classroom and hands-on instruction based on lesson plans and materials provided by the regular instructor.

Job Description
- Plan, prepare, and deliver instruction aligned with the approved curriculum on a daily basis. Develop lesson plans that support student learning outcomes and workforce readiness. Organize and maintain instructional materials, tools, equipment, and supply inventories. Monitor and evaluate student progress, including grading and attendance tracking. Provide timely, accurate, and constructive feedback on student performance, behavior and participations. Maintain current knowledge of applicable industry standards, laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, and integrate this knowledge into daily instruction.

Communicate effectively with school staff regarding student behavior and instructional progress. Model professionalism, reliability, and respect to contribute to a positive school culture.

Minimum Qualifications - 5 years of experience in the field. Prior teaching experience preferred. Proficient written communication skills including the ability to prepare reports, complete student evaluations and document student progress. Strong verbal communication skills for classroom instruction and student engagement. High School Diploma or GED. Field-related license/certification including, but not limited to, a minimum of OSHA 10 and EPA 608 certification.
