Responsibilities
Instructors will teach in person at Riverdale Music Academy in Riverdale, New Jersey. Teachers must be available for a minimum of two 4‑hour teaching blocks each week, scheduled Monday through Friday between 3:15 pm and 7:45 pm. Standard lesson runtime is 45 minutes; early‑childhood lessons (ages 4‑9) are 30 minutes.
QualificationsSuccessful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience; a demonstrated love of teaching; experience working with young musicians; punctuality; reliable transportation; and the ability to pass a routine background check.
Compensation & BenefitsInstructor pay ranges from $30 to $37 per hour, commensurate with experience. Health benefit options and a 401(k) program with employer matching are available for all part‑ and full‑time employees after 30 days of employment.
