Position Overview
Teacher of Spanish (Leave Replacement) at Northern Valley Regional High School – Old Tappan. Responsible for teaching five sections of high‑school Spanish I & II.
Responsibilities- Create an engaging and supportive classroom environment.
- Incorporate communicative and immersive teaching strategies.
- Align instruction with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS).
- NJ DOE Teacher of Spanish.
- Strong proficiency in Spanish and passion for language instruction.
- Ability to create an engaging, student‑centered learning environment.
$70,021 – $81,968 (prorated).
Employment Requirements- Approved criminal history background check for district 3710.
- Pass the Trench approval, full compliance with New Jersey Legislation P.L. 2018, c.5.
- Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
- Current residency in New Jersey or approved residency waiver, or agreement to obtain residency within one year of employment.
- Medical, Dental, and Prescription Benefits for full‑time staff.
- Sick, Personal, and Bereavement days included.
